Summary: FlightPulse does not collect, store, or share any personal information. The extension only sends flight route data (airline, airports, date, and time) to our API to generate delay predictions. No user-identifiable data is ever transmitted, logged, or retained.

1. Introduction

FlightPulse ("we," "our," or "us") operates the FlightPulse Chrome extension and the API service at api.flightpulse.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Chrome extension available through the Chrome Web Store.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. FlightPulse is designed from the ground up to function without collecting any personal data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

FlightPulse does not collect, store, or process any of the following:

Personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses)
Account credentials or login information
Browsing history or browsing activity beyond the supported flight search pages
Cookies or tracking identifiers
Device identifiers, IP addresses, or fingerprinting data
Location data
Financial or payment information

3. Information the Extension Reads

When you visit a supported flight search website (such as Google Flights, Expedia, or Kayak), the FlightPulse extension reads the following flight data from the page you are viewing:

Airline or carrier code (e.g., "DL" for Delta)
Origin airport code (e.g., "SFO")
Destination airport code (e.g., "JFK")
Scheduled departure date
Scheduled departure time

This data is read solely from the page content you are already viewing. The extension does not access any pages, tabs, or data beyond the supported flight search sites.

4. How We Use Flight Data

The flight route information listed above is sent to our API at api.flightpulse.ai for the sole purpose of generating a delay prediction for that specific flight. The API processes the request and returns a prediction result.

The data transmission works as follows:

The extension sends only the flight route parameters (carrier code, airport codes, date, time) to our API
The API computes a delay prediction and returns the result
Flight queries are not logged, stored, or retained on our servers after the prediction is returned
No request history or query log is maintained

5. Data Storage

FlightPulse does not store any user data on our servers. The extension operates entirely client-side, with the sole exception of the API call to retrieve delay predictions. There is no database of user queries, no session tracking, and no persistent storage of request data on our end.

6. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share any data with third parties. Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to share.

7. Cookies and Tracking

FlightPulse does not use cookies, web beacons, pixels, or any other tracking technologies. We do not use any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) in the extension or on the API.

8. Data Security

All communication between the FlightPulse extension and our API is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). While we do not store user data, we maintain appropriate security measures to protect the integrity of our API service.

9. Children's Privacy

FlightPulse does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the extension does not collect personal information from any user, it is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

10. Your Rights

Because FlightPulse does not collect or store any personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, export, or delete. If you wish to stop using the extension, you can remove it from your browser at any time through Chrome's extension management page (chrome://extensions).

11. Permissions

The FlightPulse Chrome extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:

Host permissions for supported sites: Required to read flight data from supported travel and airline websites and inject delay prediction badges into search results
No access to all URLs: The extension only operates on specific, declared flight search websites

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
